INSTALLATION
Make sure that starter and engine mating surfaces are free of grimeSerious trouble may arise if starter is not properly alignedNOTECheck proper engaging depth of starter pinion teeth to ring gear teeth (see illustration)Install hardened washers (P 5030079 00) between engine and starter support andor starter bracket accordinglyCAUTIONAll starter and starter bracket fasv teners must be secured with Loctite 271 (PN 4137074 00)A019 004004
Install starter
1,2,4, Screw, End Frame and Insulator
Secure insulator over brushes and springsProperly install end frame and tighten screws
