4, Bearing
Smear antiseize lubricant (PN413 7010 00) on part of crankshaft where bearing fitsPrior to installation, place bearings into an oil container and heat the oil to 75C (167F) for to 10 minThis will expand bearings and ease installationInstall bearings with groove outwardNOTECrankshaft end play requires adjustment only when crankshaft andor crankcase is replacedPrior to magneto side bearing installation, determine crankshaft end play and install required shim(s) on crankshaft extensionFor the crankshaft end play adjustment procedure, refer to LEAK TEST AND ENGINE DIMENSION MEASUREMENT 04-03Inside lip facing towards the crankcase Chamfered side towards the crankshaft bearing
