Results:
a) Indicator lamp lights: Ignition system is OKb) Indicator lamp does not light on one or both cylinder: Proceed to test no2
Results:
a) indicator lamp lights: COl unit is in good condition; ignition coil is faultyb) Indicator lamp does not light: Reconnect ignition coil and proceed to test no3
2CD unit control
Separate two-wire connector between COl unit and coildition) to the spark plug(s)
3High speed generator coil
2) Connect an ignition coil (known as being in good con3) Connect ignition coil to COl unit using jumper wires
Disconnect wires connectors from ignition module harness at engine
4) Connect tester test lead to COl unit black wire
2) Connect tester test lead to blackwhite wire and connoct tester test lead to blackred wire at the magneto harness(TYPICAL)
5) Connect tester test lead to CDI unit whiteblue wire
Jumpers connected to COl connoctor
