BATTERY
REMOVAL
WARNING: Battery black negative cable must always be disconnected first and connected lastA hydrometer measures the charge of battery in terms of specific gravity of the electrolyteMost hydrometers give true reading at 2JOC (80F) In order to obtain correct readings, adjust the initial reading by adding .004 points to the hydrometer readings for each 5.5C (10F) above 27C (80F) and by subtracting .004 point for every 5.5C (10F) below 2JOC (80F)This chart will be useful to find the correct reading ELECTROLYTE TEMPERATURE OF 38 32 27 21 16 10 -1 -7 -12 -18 -23 -29 -34
Do not siphon too much electrolytE:!

CLEANING
Clean the battery casing, vent caps, cables and battery posts using solution of baking soda and water CAUTION: Do not allow cleaning solution to enter battery interior since it will destroy the electrolyteRemove corrosion from battery cable terminals and battery posts using firm wire brush
