Chaincasedriven pulley assembly
Using two large screwdrivers inserted between chaincase and frame, pry complete assembly from vehicle
NOTE: For high altitude regions, the "High altitude technical booklet" (PIN 484055200 and PIN 484 0545 00 for binder) gives information about calibration according to altitude
DISASSEMBLY
Disassemble driven pulley from chaincaseRefer to Driven pulley section 03-04
ASSEMBLY
2,3,5,6, Oil deflector, spacerbearing
Position oil deflector ring then sit bearing in chaincase pertureInstall spacer then the other bearing
INSPECTION
Visually inspect the chain for crackeddamaged or missing link rollersCheck for defective bearings, sprockets and worn chain tensioner componentsWARNING: If chain deflection is greater than 38 mm (1.5 in) (without chain tensioner), replace chain and check condition of sprockets

GEAR RATIO MODIFICATION
For particular applications, the number of teeth of the sprockets can be increased or decreased on lower and upper sprocketsAvailable lower sprocket27 teeth Available upper sprockets: 11, 12, 15 teeth Available chains: 62, 64 links The chain length may be affected depending the combination of lower upper sprockets as follows:
