Section 03 TRANSMISSION Sub-section 06 (BRAKE)
INSTALLATION
To install brake, reverse removal procedure paying attention to the followingWARNING: Avoid getting oil on brake padsDo not lubricate or apply antirust or anti-freeze solu tion in brake cable
Countershaft bearing adjustment
Formula models only Insert countorshaft (with brake disc) from chaincase side through countershaft support (driven pulley side), then insart into chaincaseInstall countershaft bearing #31 and ensure that countershaft is properly alignod, then tighten retaining screwsNOTE: misaligned countershaft will result in difficulty to center the bearing in its supportRefer to Drive axle, section 05-09 and see for "Chaincase perpendicularity adjustment"Torque castellated nut of upper sprocket to b3 N.m (39 Ibfft)

Formula models and Alpine II R.Hbrake only The brake disc must b() floating on countershaft for efficient operation of brakeApply antiseizo lubricant (P413 701000) on shaft and check that disc slides freelyThe disc hub exceeds the disc more from one sidG than from the otherInstall disc with the longer exceeding portion toward gearbox on Alpine II 503 and toward drivon pulley on Formula modelsT
