CHECKING OPERATION
On vehicle
Test bench
Connect hose filled with injection oil to main line fitting Insert other hose end in an injection oil containerUsing counter-clockwise rotating drill rotate pump shaftOil must drip from outer holes while holding lever in full open position If not replace pump(TYPICAL)
NOTE: Main oil line must bo full of oilSee bleed ing procedure above
Lift rear of ve hicle and support with mechanical standUnbolt banjo fittings from pump Start engine and stop it as soon as it firesCheck that oil level in small oil lin es is passed banjo fitting end by about 25 mm (1 in) (this will be indicated by clem section of small oil lines of about 25 mm (1 in))Repoat the procedure until this condition is attained Reconnect banjo fittings with wa sher on each side, start engine and run at idle hilo holding the pump lever in full open positionOil colunms mu st advance into small oil lines(TYPICAL) Washer on eilch side Oi co lunm ad van cing
