NOTE: The following procedures can be done without removing the engine from chassis
CLEANING
Clean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleanerCAUTION: Clean armature and magneto using only clean cloth
NOTE: It should be noted that to correctly remove Loctite locked fastener it is first necessary to tap on the fastener to break Loctite bondThis will eliminate the possibility of thread breakage
11, Magneto housing flywheel
To remove magneto housing (flywheel)- Lock cranksh 9ft with crankshaft locking tool and install magneto housing puller (P IN 420876065) and puller ring (PIN 420 8766 55) as illustratedPIN 420 8760 65
DISASSEMBLY
15,16, V-belt pulley and starting pulley
To gain access to magneto assembly, remove: rewind starterstarting and V-belt pulleys
