REMOVAL
Disconnect black cable ground connection from baneryDisconnect the red banery cable and the redgreen wire from the solenoid switchRemove starter
1.2,13, Snap ringclutch stop collar
To remove the clutch stop collar from the armature, make tool similar to the illustration belowFirst push the clutch stop collar towards the clutchTake off snap ringDrive auf the clutch stop collar T

24, Bushings
Check the wear on bushings by measuring the amount of radial play between the armature shaft and the bushingsThe radial play should not exceed 0.20 mm (0.008"1If excessive, replace the bushingTo replace bushing, press out the old one and press in new one with bushing pusherThe correct size of the bushing pusher to use is given in the illustration below
