Inside of outer half should be cleaned with clean clothThe round shaft can be cleaned with fine steel wool and clean cloth+

attempt to remove spring cover without the recommended tools:

Using cleaner such as ;lcetone, clean crankshaft tapered end and the taper inside the fixed half of the drive pulleyThis procedure must be performed In well ventilated area
CAUTION: Avoid contact between acetone and
crankshaft seal because damage may occur

INSPECTION
Drive pulley should be inspected annually

Check for roundness of external diameterAeplace as required
CAUTION: Ensure rollers are in good condition
