CLEANING
6,10, Innerouter half
Clean pulley faces and shaft with fine steel wool and dry cloth, Clean outer half bushing with clean dry cloth
REMOVAL
1,4,6, Outer halfgovernor cup
With engine cold, remove spark plug then bring PT.O(Power Take Off) piston at TD.C(Top Dead Centerl positionRotate drive pull'ey 45 clockwise then insert enough starter rope into cylindre to fill it completely, WARNING: Spring pressure can force a.ssembly apart; therefore,it is imperative that the govern or cup be held firmly during governor retaining blot removalUse drive pulley retainer PIN 5.29 0017 00
INSPECTION
Drive pulley should be inspected annuallv;
6,10, lnnerouter half
Check outer half for excessive lateral play and inner half shaft for scratches
