Section 05 SUSPENSION Sub-section 08 (TRACK)

Remove the following items:Battery (is so equipped)Chaincase cover, sprockets, chainMufflerUpper center idler ass'ySuspensionEnd bearing housingBoth drive axle sealsDrive axle (outwards from end bearing housing)Track

If applicable, ensure that the link plate springs are in the middle position of the position slotted anchorsTo correct track tension, loosen link plate spring lock nuts on inner side of link plate springsTurn adjuster bolts clockwise to tighten track or counterclockwise to slacken
Tension (bogie wheel), Alpine
With rear of vehicle blocked off the ground, check the tension of each track: 57 mm (2 14") between top inside edge and bolt of center wheel set retaining bolt
INSTALLATION
All models:
Reverse the removal procedure
NOTE: When installing the track, ensure the right angle of bearing surface of the track rib is facing the front of vehicleFront Rear
