Section 02 ENGINE (462 ENGINE TYPE)
- Remove screws (use Phillips no3 screwdriver)- Remove the wire retaining clip from armature plate- Pull out protector tubes and unsolder the splice connectors- Solder the yellow wire in the harness to the white tube protected wire of the coil- Solder the yellowblack striped wire in the harness to the black tube protected wire of the coil
1,9,10,11,19, Armature plate, lock washers, washers, Loctite 242screws
Position the armature plate on the crankcase aligning the marks on both partsPut drop of Loctite 242 on screw threads and tightenClean crankshaft extension (taper)Apply Loctlte 242 on taper
2,19,28,29, Loctite 242, flywheel, lock washernut
Position woodruff key, magneto flywheel, lock washer on crankshaft Clean nut threads and apply Loctite 242 (blue, medium strength) before tightening nut to 95 N-m (70 Ibf.ft)
