For assembly, follow the disassembly procedure in the reverse order, paying attention to the followingCoat the sliding surfaces and moving portions of the armature splines, overrunning clutch, bushings and the solenoid switch plunger with multipurpose grease (water, climate and coldness resistant)Reinstall the drive lever as illustrated below SECTION 04 ELECTRICAL SUB-SECTION 05 (ELECTRIC STARTER)

CLEANING
_ CAUTION: Armature starter yoke ass'y and drive -unit assembly must not be immersed in cleaning solventClean brushes and holders with clean clotch soaked in solventBrushes must be dried thoroughly with clean clothBlow brush holders clean using compressed airRemove dirt, oil or grease from commutator using clean cloth soaked in suitable solventDry well using clean, dry cloth Clean engine starter gear teeth and drive unit (clutch)
Drive lever Overrunning clutch

NOTE: Bearing bushing of the drive unit must not be cleaned with grease dissolving agents
Immerse all metal components in cleaning solutionDry using clean, dry cloth
