SECTION 03 TRANSMISSION SUB-SECTION 03 (DRIVE PULLEY)
NOTE: The press fit is on the thicker spacer only
_ CAUTION: Ensure rollers are in good condition Replace as required
CLEANING
16,17, InnerOuter half
Inside of outer half should be cleaned with clean clothThe square shaft can be cleaned with fine steel wool and clean cloth
ASSEMBLY
29, Bearing
To install bearing on inner half, use suitable pusher and press
17, Inner halfcrankshaft
Using cleaner such as acetone, clean crankshaft tapered end and the taper inside the fixed half of the drive pulley WARNING: This procedure must be performed in well ventilated area
18,19,20, Starter ring gear or damper ring
Apply "Loctite 271" or equivalent on threads then torque the screws to 14 N-m (10 ft- Ibs) or tighten with an impact screwdriver
