SECTION 02 ENGINE SUB-SECTION 08 (CARBURETOR AND FUEL PUMP)
REMOVAL
Remove air si lencer box, fue inlet line and pri mer lineUnscrew carburetor cover then pullout throttle slide ass'y from carburetor_ CAUTION: Exercise care when handling throttleslideScratches incurred may cause throttle slide to stick open in operationUntighten rubber lange clamp then remove carburetor from engine

CLEANINGINSPECTION
The entire carburetor shou ld be cleaned ith general solvent and dried wi compressed air before disassemblyCarburetor body and jets shou ld be cleaned in carbu retor cleaner following manufacturer's instructions WARNING: Solvent with low flash point such as gasoline, naphtha, benzol, etc should not be used as they are flammable and explosiveCheck inlet need le ip cond it ion If wo rn, the inlet needle and seat must be replaced as ma tched setCheck throttle slide for wea rReplace as necessary CAUTIONHeavy duty carburetor cleaner may beharmful to the float material and to the rubber parts, O'ring, etcTherefore, it is recommended to remove those parts prior to cleaning
