Generator coil test (HI and LO)
This test is performed on the vehicle at cranking speed The two generator coils are called high and low speed generator coilsThe checker indicates the output of these coils by switching HI and LO positions as follows HI: Output of high speed generator coil LO: Output of high and low speed generator coil Analysis of this test is diagnosed by its level
CONNECTION OF TEST WIRE HARNESS
a) Choose the right test wire harness according to the followingCODE NOIGNITION TYPE 4-4P ENGINE TYPE 354,454,464 277,377,503 TEST WIRE HARNESS
Control unit test
The COl checker inputs alternative current into the con trol unit instead of the generator coilThe output of the control unit will be indicated on the LED level indicatorAnalysis of this test is diagnosed by its level
b) Connect the test wire harness to the checker aligning the arrow marks
Control unit diode test (for 4-5P ignition type, 277, 377, 503 engine type)
The control unit includes the diode which controls the output of the generator co il according to the engine speedThis checker can diagnose this diodeThe result will be indicated on the LED level indicator
