SECTION 03 TRANSMISSION SUB-SECTION 03 (DRIVE PULLEY)
(3) Torque to Nm (5 ft-Ibs) (]) Apply "Loctite 242" on threads then screw in until head is flush with hub plug Do not allow head to bite into hub plug
INSPECTIONCLEANING
Drive pulley should be inspected annuallyCheck general condition of pulley and inspect "Duralon': bushing faces, as per illustrationsGOOD
) At disassembly, hold hub plug firmly against
outer half until the two (2) bolts are completely removedThis will prevent damage of the outer half threadsAt assembly, apply "Loctite 242" on threads of bolts then torque to 16 N.m (12 ft-Ibs)
Apply" Loctite 271" or equivalent on threads then torque the screws to 14 N.m (10 ft-Ibs) or tighten with an impact screwdriverTo install or remove "Duralon" bushing from hub plug, use suitable pusher and hammer or pressInstall bushing as per illustrationTeflon coating
