TROUBLE SHOOTING
1 Uneven belt wear on one side onlyUneven wear
CAUSE a) Loose engine mountb) Pulley misalignmentc) Rough or scratched pulley surfaces
a) Tighten engine mount nuts equally b) Align pulleys c) Repair or replace pulley half
2 Belt glazed excessively or having baked appea rance CAUSE Excessive slippage caused by a) nsufficlent pressure on belt sides b) Rusted dnve or driven pulley shaftsc) Oil on pulley surfaces
a) Check drive pulley for worn or missing flywelghts rollers b) Clean shaft With steel wool and lubricate With low temperature greasec) Clean pulley surfaces With fine emery cloth and clean clothd) Install correct governor
