SECTION 05 SUB-SECTION 05 (PULLEY ALIGNMENT)
PULLEY ALIGNMENT
Remove pulley guard and drive belt Check tightness of engine mount nuts
Elan, Spirit, Alpine
If drive pulley is too far in, remove drive pulley and add shim(s) on crankshaft_ CAUTION: Never use more than shims on crankshaftIf drive pulley is too far out, Alpine model excluded, add shim(s) between frame and chaincase
OFFSET ADJU STMENT

Shim( s) added on crankshaft

Shim(s) added between frame

Square bar Length 48 cm (19 inch)

On Alpine model, check tightness of gearbox attaching boltsIf necessary, remove shim(s) from crankshaft The engine can also be slid on either side by slackening the engine bracket from the support, for better adjustment WARNING: lways torque drive pulley bolt within specifications(See Technical Data)
