CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT
For: 19801981 Blizzard 7500Super Sonic 19801981 Blizzard 9500Ultra Sonic
Tighten the cable adjuster jam nutRepeat for the other carburetor
Proceed as follows:
For maximum performance, correct carburetor throttle slide adjustment is criticalThe following method should be used: With engine turned off: Remove the air intake silencerBack off the idle speed screws completely
Throttle slide flush with carburetor bore
If precise measuring tool is unavailable, pin PIN 517 1229 00 (pulley guard pin) can be used as illustrated This will give the same gap of 41.5 mm requiredIdle speed screw
Turn the idle speed screw clockwise until it contacts the throttle slide then continue turning two (2) additional turnsRepeat on the other carburetorThis will ensure identical throttle slide idle setting With the throttle cable adjuster jam nuts unlocked, press the throttle lever against the handle grip, until distance of 41.5 mm- (1 5 8"- 132") is obtained between lever and housing, and hold in this position
