SECTION 03 SUB-SECTION 04, (CARBURETOR)
REMOVAL
Remove air silencer box, fuel inlet line and primer lineUnscrew carburetor cover then pull out throttle slide ass'y from carburetor
Example: Needle
identification

Position of the "E" clip from top
, CAUTION: Exercise care when handling throttleslideScratches incurred may cause throttle slide to stick open in operationUntighten rubber flange clamp then remove carburetor from engine
(!)The size of the throttle slide cut-away affects the fuel
mixture between to throttle openingA certain amount

of richness is needed for that particular range because this is where the transition from the low speed to the high speed circuit takes place
CLEANINGINSPECTION
The entire carburetor should be cleaned with general solvent and dried with compressed air before disassemblyCarburetor body and Jets should be cleaned in carburetor
cleaner following manufacturer's instructionsrich mixture

WARNING: Solvent with low flash point such as gasoline, naphtha, benzol, etc should not be used as they are flammable and explosiveCheck inlet needle tip conditionIf wornthe Inlet needle and seat must be replaced as matched setCheck throttle slide for wearReplace as necessary
