CLEANING
Discard all oil seals, gaskets, "0" rings and sealing rings, Clean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleanerRemove old" Loctite" from crankcase mating surfaces with Bombardier sealant stripper, CAUTION: Never use sharp object to scrape away old sealant as score marks incurred are detrimental Because 01 cap nuts, cylinder studs have to be screwed mto the crankcase so that they do not exceed further than 57.5 mm (2.260")

(00Crankcase halves are factory matched and therefore, are not interchangeable or available as single halvesPrior to Joining of crankcase halves, apply light coat of "Loctite 51 5" (413 7027 00) on mating surfaces_ CAUTION: Before joining of crankcase halves be" sure that crankshaft rotary valve gear is well engaged with rotary valve shaft gear, Position the crankcase halves together and torque bolts by hand, then install armature plate (tighten) on magneto side to correctly align crankcase halvesTorque bolts to 22 N'm (16 ft-Ibs) following illustrated sequence
