MAGNETO
CLEANING
Clean all metal components in non-ferrous metal cleaner
To remove or install magneto retaining nutlock crankshaft in position with special hold-on support as illustrated(See Tools section)
CAUTION: Clean armature and magneto usingonly clean cloth
DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY
0 Whenever coil is replacedthe air gap (distance between coil end and magnet) must be adjustedTo check air gapinsert feeler gauge of 0.30-0.45 mm (.012"-.018") between magnet and coil endsIf
necessary to adjust, slacken coil retaining screws and relocate coil
