CLEANING
Discard all gasketsClean all metal components in non -ferrous metal cleanerScrape off carbon formation from cylinder exhaust port, cyl inder head and piston dome using wooden spatula When reassembling the cylinders to th crankcase, it is important to have them properly aligned so that the cylind er head holes will match up with the studsA special tool (as per illustration) (or cy linder head itself) can be used to align the cylinders Cross torque cylinder nuts to 16 (12 ft-Ibs)
NOTE: The letters "AUS" (over an arrow on the piston dome) must be visib le after clean in g
Clean the piston ring grooves with groove cleaner tool, or with piece of broken ring
