REMOVAL
Remove the suspensionInstall th tab locks as illu stratedInsta ll the screws and torque to 95 Nm (7 ft -Ibs) Bend the tab locks_ CAUTIONLock tabs shou ld be replaced if bent more than twiceIf in doubt, replace
NOTE: On the Blizzard 9500, disconnect the muffler and push it as id underneath the exhaust pipes
Remove the chaincase cove and drain the oi lSlacken the end bearing housingPry out the drive axle oi seal from th cha incaseRelease cha in tension then ope the tab locks locking the sprocketsRemove the sc rews, washers, sprockets and chainRemove bolts andor nuts securing the chaincase to the frame
INSPECTION
Visually inspect the chain for cracked, damaged or missing link rollersInspect for defective bearing, sprockets
