ACTIVATION OF NEW BATTERY Translucid easing
For storage purposes each battery is fitted with temporary sealing tubeDo not remove sealing tube or loosen battery caps unless activation is desiredIn case of accidental removal of caps or sealing tube prematurely, battery should be given full charge1Remove sealing tube from vent elbowInstall overflow tube contained in vehicle kitWARNING: Failure to remove sealing tube could result in an explosion2Remove capsFill battery cells to upper level line with electrolyte3Charge battery until specific gravity of 1.280 at 20C (68F) is attained_ CAUTION: If cell temperature rises higher than 64C (1oFl discontinue charging temporarily, or reduce charging rate4Reinstall capsWipe battery clean then install on vehicle WA.RNING: Overflow tube must be free and openA kinked or bent tube will restrict ventilation and ceate gas accumulation that could result in an explosion
