At assembly, apply light coat of anti-seize compound on crankshaft extension nearest starter gear0Crankcase halves are factory matched and therefore, are not interchangeable or available as single halvesPrior to joining of crankcase halves, apply Loctite 515 (no413-7027) on mating surfacesPosition the crankcase halves together and tighten nuts (or bolts) by hand then install armature plate (tighten) on magneto side to correctly align the crankcase halvesTorque nuts (or bolts) to 22 N.m (16 ft-lbs) following illustrated sequence6
