SECTION 04 SUB-SECTION 02 (ENGINES)
To remove or install magneto retaining nut, lock crankshaft in position with special hold-on support as illustrated(See Tools Section)
At assembly, apply Loctite Lock'n Seal 242 or equivalent on threads then torque to 85 N-m (63 tt-lbs) Crankcase halves are factory matched and therefore, are not interchangeable or available as single halvesPrior to joining of crankcase halves, apply Loctite 515 (no4137027) on mating surfacesPosition the crankcase halves together and tighten bolts by hand then install armature plate (tighten) on magneto side to correctly align the crankcase halvesTorque bolts or nuts to 22 N-m (16 ft-Ibs) following illustrated sequence
