1 Damaged drive assembly and engi ne starter gear or dirty helical spline
1 Carefully clean or file the burrs on engine starter gear or drive assembly and clean helical spline

2Replace defective springs
When engaging the starter shaft does not turn or turns too slowly
1Battery discharged
1Charge battery and check rectifier
2Battery defective (cracked casing damaged or loose posts)
