TROUBLE SHOOTING INSTALLATION
Make sure that starter and engine mating surfaces are free of dirtSerious trouble may arise if starter is not properly alignedInstall starterConnect the red battery cable and the red wire to the large terminal of the solenoidConnect green wire to small terminal of solenoidConnect black cable to batteryCauses of troubles are not necessa rily in th starting system (starter) but may be due to defective battery, switches, electrical cables andor connections Troubl may also be attributed to malfunctionning of the ignition system andor fuel system The following trouble shooting table is lim ited to the starting systemWarning: Short circuiting the electric starter is always danger, therefore disconnect the ground cable at the battery efore carrying out any kind of maintenance on the starting systemDo not place tools on battery
