REMOVAL Detach the following items from carburetor (s): air silencerchoke cable and housing throttle cable and housing, fuel lines and pulsation line(s)Open tab locks then remove nuts securing carburetors
CLEANINGINSPECTION
The entire carburetor should be cleaned with fuel and dried with compressed Flir before disassemblyIf carburetor is very dirty it should be pre-soaked in suitable solventCaution: Some solvents and cleaners have damaging effect on the synthetic rubber parts of the carburetorIt is best to use petroleum product for cleaningDo not lise alcohollacquer, acetone, thinnerbenzol or any solvent with blend of these ingredients unless the rubber parts and gaskets are removedIf you are in doubt about the solvent, test used part in it and observe the reaction
DISASSEMBLYASSEMBLY

Test main nozzle check valve operation by alternately npplying pressure and vacuum with the mouth on thpnozzle section
The check valve must hold under pressure and release under vacuumExercice care when pulling choke shaft from carburetorFriction ball and spring can "fly out" of th: castingAt assembly, position spring and friction ball into castingUsing suitable tool, depress friction ball, at same time, push choke shaft into carburetor body
