ELECTRICAL and battery posts with solution of baking soda and waterCAUTION: Do not allow cleaning solution to enter battery interior since it will destroy the electrolyte2Remove corrosion from battery cable termi nals and battery posts using firm copper brushINSPECTION 1Visually inspect battery casing for cracks or other possible damageIf casing is damaged re place the battery2Inspect battery posts for security of moun tingReplace battery as required3Inspect for cracked or damaged battery capsEnsure that vent holes'are unobstructedReplace defective capIf vent hole is blocked, clean using firm strand of wireNOTE: The battery installed in the Nordic mo dels do not incorporate caps with vent holesMake sure that overflow tube is unobstructed4Visually inspect electrolyte level in each cell"Top up" to required level as detailed in step two of Battery StorageINSTALLATION 1Position and secure battery and battery ca bles as illustrated in figure 3-6-5CliP
