ELECTRIC STARTER
3-05-07 5On two cylinder engines, install muffler 6Connect ground to battery (black cable)
TROUBLE SHOOTING
4Connect the red battery cable and the red wire to the large terminal of the solenoid Connect green wire to small terminal of solenoid (fig3-6-15)Causes of troubles are not necessarily in the starting system (starter) but may be due to defective battery, switches, electrical cables andor connectionsThe trouble may also be due to malfunctioning of the ignition system andor fuel systemThe following trouble shooting table is limited to the starting systemIMPORTANT
Short circuiting the electric starter is always danger, therefore disconnect the ground cable at the battery before carrying out any kind of maintenance on the starting systemDo not place tools on the battery
