3With the current control knob at LO posi tion, tum the selector switch to position No1coil power test
4Slowly tum the current control knob clock
wise and note the current value on scale No.1When it reaches the operating amperage for that particular winding stop and note the spark gap indicator located on right hand side of analyzerIt should fire steadilyIf the spark is faint, the coil is defective and should be replacedIf the coil is good, perform the high speed test as follows:
5Continue turning the current control knob
clockwise to obtain maximum meter readingThe spark gap should fire steadilyIf the spark is faint, the coil is defective and should be repla cedCAUTION: Complete the test as quickly as possible and immediately upon completion of test, tum selector switch to OFF position and current control knob to La positionTYPE Inside Coil Outside Coil
