2-03-02 REMOVAL (Olympique models) 1Remove console, pulley guard and drive belt2Disconnect brake and throttle cables and housings at handlebar and brake lever3Disconnect all electrical connections leading from engine and dash panelNOTE: Make sketch of connections and wire colors to ease Installation procedureCAUTION: On electric model, disconnect negative cable (black) from battery post before disconnecting positive cable at starter4Disconnect fuel lines at carburetor5Unbolt steering column retaining bracket from upper column6Remove the four (4) engine mount nuts and washersRemove upper column7Lift engine from carriage bolts and remove from vehicle

REMOVAL (Nordic models) 1Remove console, pulley guard and drive belt2Disconnect brake and throttle cables and housings at handlebar and brake leverNOTE: On 640ER model, remove kill button from handlebar3Unbolt and remove handlebar from steering column spline4On 640ER models, disconnect shifter rod from shifter armDisconnect brace plate from console5Separate steering column retainer bracket from upper column6On 640ER model, disconnect speedometer cable at speedometer and disengage cable from clamp of fan housing7Remove choke cable and housing from carburetorRemove air silencer and collar stud8Disconnect all electric wiring engine and electrical componentsadjoining
