STEERING SYSTEM
NOTE: If free play occurs at steering column, insert .025 inch shim(s) as required7Position upper column and secure using two (2) bolts and nuts8Affix the steering column to upper column by attaching the bracket to upper column using two (2) bolts and washersInstall new tab locks (fig1-15-35)
INSTALLATION (T'NT Models) NOTE: Always install new tab locks1On 15" track models, install ski leg to ski assembly2On 18" track models, install bushings, spring coupler and stabilizer on the legs (fig1-15-34)Secure leaf springs with adjustable pliers, insert bolts, install new tab lock and torque each nut to 55-60 ftlbs
9Position skis parallel with vehicle and place steering arms on ski legsInstall bolts or nuts on the ski legsCheck that angles of steering arms are equalTorque bolts to 45-50ftlbs or nuts to 55-60 ftllbs10Connect brake and throttle cables to handlebarLock throttle housing with circlipInstall kill buttonConnect and adjust brake11On 18" track models, make sure skis are parallel with vehicle and that the steering column is in vertical position, install handlebarTorque capscrew to 33-35 ftlbs: 12On all TNT models except 292, secure driven pulley support with clevis pin and locking pin13Proceed with ski alignment14Grease ski leg at grease fitting, install console
