CHAIN CASE
7Install and spread drive chain around inside of case and place lower sprocket (with longer flange towards inside of case) through inspection port (fig1-12-9)Holding chain, tilt case until sprocket slides down to its installation position

2Position assembled chain case and driven pulley in locationOn Olympique models, en sure that chain case lower sprocket is aligned with axle splinesPush chain case into frameNOTE: On Elan models, install drive axle3Install spacer and cotter pin to secure lower sprocket to axleInstall lower access plug4Install special screw (hinge rod), lower bracket, "U" clamp and previously removed aligning shims5Install the oil seal into chain case flange (fig1-12-11 )
8Install springs, spacers and bushings into chain tensioners 9Insert tensioners into chain case and secure with bolts, fiber washers and nutsTensioners must be installed with longer spring ends seated against sides of chain case10Install bearing cone and position upper sprocket (longer flange towards inside of case) and drive chain in place11Holding chain and upper sprocket in position, insert driven pulley shaft through chain case and sprocketInstall spring washer and castellated nutNOTE: Tighten castellated nut fully then back off 16 of tum and lock in position with new cotter pinIt is imperative that nut is backed off or damage may occur due to burned or seized bearing cone on driven pulley shaft12Install brake assembly
