aRemove cotter pin and castellated nut securing drive pulley to upper sprocket and remove drive pulleybRemove bolt securing chain tensioner to chaincase and remove tensioner (Figure 34)
1Remove driven pulley2Pry out drive axle oil seal from chaincase with small screwdriver (Figure 27)3Release track tension (Chapter Two)4Remove bolt and washer securing lower sprocket and remove sprocket5Remove bolt securing chaincase to frame and remove chaincase6Perform Inspection and Repair7Installation is the reverse of these stepsKeep the following points in mind: aTighten tension adjuster bolt for Y4 in(6.4mm) slack measured at driven pulley level (Figure 23)bPerform Pulley AlignmentcPerform Track Tension Adjustment as outlined in Chapter TwodUse new a-ring on chaincase coverTighten bolts gradually and evenlyTorque bolts to ftlb(0.7 mkg)eAdd approved chaincase oil as outlined in Chapter TwoInspection and Repair
