ENGINE Disassembly, Cont17Press front bushing, oil seal and mechanical seal out of lower crankcase using suitable (soft) drift from the oil pump (rear) sideBe careful not to damage bushing
Remove bushings, seals

Assembly
1Insert bushing into case on water pump side using weep hole to align hole for retaining pinPress in until firmly seated in caseInstall retaining pinTap in until seated in bushing NOTE: If front bushing is replaced it may be necessary to drill retaining pin hole in the new bushingIf there is no hole in the bushing: Install bushing in crankcase as described aboveRemove the retaining pin from lower crankcaseUsing the retaining pin hole as guide, carefully drill hole in the new bushing to the same depth and diameter as the hole in the old bushingBe careful not to enlarge the retaining pin holeInstall new retaining pinAlign hole in bushing with weep hole and retaining pin hole
