ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS TROUBLESHOOTING TABLES
No Ignition (Spark)
Disconnect the single BLACK to BLKWHT wire from the CDI Module to the ignition kill circuitDoes engine YES have spark? NO Insert multimeter probes into the 2-pin (Red and Brown) ignition regulatorrectifier harnessPull over engineIs DC voltage present? YES Disconnect the stator to CDI module wiresTest the resistance values of the stator coils as per the wiring diagramsAre the resistance values within specs? NO Isolate which component's resistance is not within specsRemove the flywheel and statorRecheck the resistances; look for pinched or bare harness wires; or replace the coilYES Check the ignition switch, wire harness, throttle safety switches and kill switch for proper adjustment or short to groundRepair or replace as necessaryReplace ignition regulatorrectifier with new partRetestIf DC voltage is still not present, test the stator charge coil (Blue and Green) circuits for AC voltage using peak voltage reading adapterContinue tests in left-side of table
