Maintenance 5Once clean, rinse blade with mild detergent and waterDry completely6Inspect the VES gas ports on the cylinder(s) for blockageRemove the spark plugs and use piston inspection light to illuminate the port(s)8Install new gasket, then reinstall the EV assemblyApply Loctite 242 to the fastener threads, and then torque to specificationNOTE: Always install new EV base gasketNever re-use the gasket, or modify new gasketCLEAN GAS TRANSFER PORT

Exhaust Valve Housing Fasteners 10.5-13.5 ft-lb (14.3-18.3 Nm)-Apply Loctite 242 9Reconnect the vent hosesNOTE: To obtain maximum exhaust valve performance, Polaris recommends using Polaris VES Gold Plus Synthetic Two-Stroke engine oilNever mix different brands of engine oil
NOTE: Do not drill hole marked: "X"7Light must be seen through the VES gas port(s)If port appears to be blocked, use compressed air or long .075" drill bit to clean the port
Fuel Filter CAUTION
The in-tank fuel filter and fuel lines should be inspected regularlySpecial attention should be given to the fuel line condition after periods of storageNormal deterioration from weather and fuel can occur during this storage periodDo not damage fuel lines when removing themIf fuel line has been damaged or kinked it must be replacedAll models feature fuel pickup wfilter located inside the fuel tankTo inspect and replace: 1Remove the gas cap2Use coat hanger to carefully pickup the fuel hose inside the tank3Inspect and replace the pickupfilter at the end of the hose
