Chassis Left Support Brace Removal
1Remove the following components: Rightleft engine compartment door Hood Exhaust pipesilencer Oil tankclutch cover assembly Driven clutch Airbox assembly Engine assembly Left-side frontrear engine mount Bulkhead floor plate Fuel tank (Remove fuel hoses and gasoline from tank) 2Drill out the rivets securing the left fender to the bulkhead and chassis3Remove the three screws and nuts and seven screws securing the bulkhead clip to the left side engine side support braceNote the screw located on the inside of the brace attaching the brace to the bulkhead cooler 5Wearing heat resistant gloves, use propane gas torch to heat the where the brace mounts to the tunnel and bulkhead clipApply torch until adhesive begins to crackleDuring this time, the adhesive may smoke and bubbleContinue heating the area until the brace can be separated from the bulkhead and tunnel
