Steering and Suspensions Limiter Straps
The limiter straps on the Pro-Ride Progressive and ProRide RMK Coil-Over rear suspensions are not adjustableDrilling new holes in the straps to increase or decrease strap length is not recommendedThe limiter straps on SwitchbackRMK 144 rear suspensions are adjustableThe limiter straps are initially set in the mid positionThe specified SAG setting for the Switchback 144 Tipped rear suspension is 5" (12.7cm)to set SAG, follow these steps: 1Position the snowmobile on snowNOTE: Positioning the snowmobile on hard surface (pavementconcrete) distributes more weight to the rear track shocktorsion springs and can distort the following measurements2Lift the rear bumper to fully extend the rear suspensionUsing tape measure, find (X)
HIGH MID LOW

Move BOTH limiter straps to the HIGH position to increase ski pressure and reduce ski liftThe HIGH position moves the balance of the snowmobile towards the front which increases cornering characteristics, but reduces flotationMove BOTH limiter straps to the LOW position to decrease ski pressure and increase ski liftThe LOW position moves the balance of the snowmobile towards the rear which increases traction and flotation, but reduces cornering characteristicsTorque limiter strap nuts to specification
