PVT System 12Align the helix alignment hole with the "X" on the moveable sheave PREMATURE WEAR: Ensure correct belt is installedInspect belt-to-sheave clearance, deflection, and clutch alignmentAdjust gearing for rider typeVerify correct clutch weightspring package is installedChange riding habitsstyle OPERATING RPM DROP: Drive belts used on snowmobiles operated at high speedsloads (mountain use) for extended periods of time should be inspected for glazing at 1,000 mile intervals CORD POP-OUT: Inspect drivedriven clutch alignment, motor mounts, and deflectionSet driven clutch float13Align the wide gap in the helix splines with the skip tooth in the stationary sheave shaft14Visually verify the rollers are positioned underneath each corresponding helix ramp15Compress the helix down into the sheaveInstall the washer and snap ringVerify the snap ring is fully seated in the groove with the sharp edge upward16Carefully release the clutch compressor17Align the two "X" marks and install the coverTorque fasteners to specification Remove belt during off-season storage period
