Cleanfire Fuel Injection Fuel Tank Service
1Remove the tank cap and siphon the fuel in the tank into suitable container2Remove the seat assembly 3Remove the door panels and hood4Remove the console5On RUSH models, remove the two screws attaching the fuel tank bracket to the steering post assembly6Disconnect the fuel supply and return hoses from the fuel pumpDisconnect the fuel pump powerlevel sender wire harness connector7Remove the fuel tank assembly from the snowmobile8Inspect the tank for signs of damageexcessive wearInspect the foam pads that the tank rests onReplace pads if torn, missing, or damaged9Installation is the reverse of removal9Remove the old gasket and discard
CAUTION
ALWAYS REPLACE PFA GASKET WITH NEW GASKET AFTER REMOVING FUEL PUMP10Clean the tank's gasket mating surface with isopropyl alcoholAllow the surface to dry completely11Install new gasket ensuring the inside portion of the gasket hooks onto the bead on the inside diameter of the neck12Remove any containments from the gasket with isopropyl alcohol13Carefully place the PFA back into the tankPush the float assembly against the hoses to fit it into the hole14Hand tighten the PFA nut keeping the arrow between the PFA alignment marksRETURN FITTING SUPPLY FITTING
