EngineCoolingExhaust Disassembly and Assembly ProcessCrankcase Crankshaft 1Remove the engine from the engine compartment2Follow the process for removing the cylinder head, cylinders, pistons, flywheelrecoil housing, and the wateroil pumpNOTE: The crankcase ring land damage shown in the corresponding photo is caused by improper crankcase separation or crankshaft removalNOTE: Do not over-apply sealant in oil injector areaDoing so may block the oil passageDOWELS
DO NOT FILL MAG BEARING OIL GALLERY WITH CASE SEALANT

3Remove all crankcase fasteners except ones marked 5-6-7-8 indicated belowLoosen these bolts to reveal about 16"-18" bolt gap
10Loosely install the crankcase fasteners, then torque to the specifications at the beginning of the chapterUse the correct torque sequence when tightening the screws11Liberally coat the crankshaft bearings and components with Polaris two-stroke engine oil
