EngineCoolingExhaust DisassemblyAssembly Process 1Remove the exhaust pipe and silencer2If the recoil assembly does not require attention, the recoil rope can remain attached to the handleIf recoil component work is desired, reference the Recoil Assembly section3Remove the two mag-side engine mounting boltsCarefully lift the mag-side of the engine to access the housing cover4Remove the recoilmagneto housing coverThe recoil assembly is located inside the housing5Remove the recoil hub from the flywheelSecure the flywheel with strap wrench, PN PU-45419Remove the flywheel nut and washer6Using the flywheel puller tool, PN 2871043, insert the puller's three screws into the flywheelNOTE: Do not thread the puller screws into the magnetostator located behind the flywheel7Turn the puller center bolt in until the flywheel "pops" off of the crankshaft8Mark the location of the magnetostator plate in several places using scribe9Remove the two plastic rivets that prevent the trigger coil wires from contacting the flywheel10Remove the magnetostator from the crankcase11During assembly, route the trigger coil wires in their designated channelsInstall the two plastic rivets into the housing to prevent the wires from accidently coming into contact with the flywheel12Assembly is reverse of disassemblyReference the fastener torque specifications at the beginning of the chapter13Do not use an impact wrench to install the flywheel nut14Align the mag-side engine mount with the two chassis mountsInstall the engine mount screws and torque to specification15Reinstall the exhaust silencer and pipe
