Maintenance FUELINTAKE SYSTEM
Fuel FilterDC-CFI-4 Models WARNING
When removing the fuel filter fuel spillage will occurBe sure to work in well ventilated area away from anything which may cause the fuel to ignite such as an open flame, heaters, trouble lights or cigarettes1The fuel filter should be replaced as outlined in the periodic maintenance table2Open the left and right door panelsRemove the hood and drive belt3Disengage the rubber strap securing the oil tank to the clutch coverRemove the oil tank mount screw4Remove the two harness connectors from the ECURemove the oil tank fill cap, and then the ECU bracket5Remove the four nuts that mount the clutch cover to the chassisSlide the oil tank down to open access to the two rear nuts6Carefully release the clutch cover from the studs and then pull it away from the airbox7De-pressurize the fuel systemRemove the filter from the airbox bracketDisconnect the fuel filter from the pump flange and supply fuel hose using 38" fuel line disconnect toolP-CLAMP
