Battery Preparation
Some models are equipped with fresh pack batteryThese batteries require filling with electrolyte and full charge prior to service1Fill battery with electrolyte to the upper level marks on the case2Set battery aside and allow it to cool and stabilize for at least 30 minutes3Add electrolyte to bring the level back to the upper level mark on the caseNOTE: This is the last time that electrolyte should be added4Charge battery at 110 of its amphour ratingExample:110 of amp battery =.9 amps, 110 of 14 amp battery1.4 amps, 110 of 18 amp battery1.8 amps (recommended charging rates)5Check specific gravity of each cell with hydrometer to ensure each has reading of 1.270 or higher6Install vent coverNOTE: Once the vent cover is installed, the battery is sealedDo not remove the cover
